About the role

The IT & Cybersecurity Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting the company’s technology and security operations. This role assists with device management, security compliance, procedures development, access monitoring, and first-line IT operational support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and security are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the cybersecurity team in implementing, monitoring, and enforcing internal security policies and procedures.

  • Assist with day-to-day device management, including laptops, peripherals, inventory tracking, and user access rights.

  • Track, document, and report on compliance with IT security standards, acceptable-use policies, and operational guidelines.

  • Coordinate laptop setup, maintenance schedules, replacements, and returns, ensuring proper documentation and asset lifecycle management.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of software licenses, access permissions, and assigned devices.

  • Provide first-line operational support for basic hardware issues, access requests, and troubleshooting needs.

  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams on continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and internal controls.

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks related to devices, accounts, and permissions.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience in IT support, IT operations, or security operations is a plus.

  • Experience in Cybersecurity Compliance or Governance is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, device management, and access control.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and securely.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

  • Good communication skills and customer-service mindset.
